Hey there! I’m Dion, a technology leader and entrepreneur with a passion for building scalable digital platforms that combine strong architecture, seamless integrations, and great user experience. With a background in leading development teams and founding multiple digital ventures, I specialize in turning complex business challenges into reliable, future-proof software solutions. Whether it’s developing new software or managing a product from conception to launch, I thrive in fast-paced and dynamic environments.
As a developer, I thrive in problem-solving and finding efficient ways to tackle challenges. I love taking on new challenges and finding creative solutions to complex problems. Aside from my technical skills, I also love building relationships with my colleagues and clients. I have a deep understanding of both the technical and business aspects of a project, allowing me to effectively bridge the gap between developers and stakeholders.
As a former startup entrepreneur, I’ve always been on the lookout for new opportunities to turn ideas into reality. I believe that the best way to learn is by doing, and my experience as a startup founder has taught me valuable lessons in leadership, adaptability, and resilience.

Led the development team and was responsible for the delivery of a completely new mobile application (Vue), backend platform (Python/Django), and API, defining the architecture and guiding implementation from concept to production.

Responsible for defining and executing the digital strategy across guest-facing and internal platforms. Led the design and development of scalable web and mobile solutions, and drove system integrations with ticketing, payments, and operational systems. Bridged business and technology by translating requirements into robust architectures, guiding development teams, and ensuring high availability, security, and performance of the digital services.

Co-founded and led the development of Checkd, an innovative ticketing and leisure platform. Built a flexible, data-driven system enabling dynamic ticket sales, check-in/out, and personalized insights, and was responsible for technical architecture, product strategy, and scalable integrations for both B2B and consumer use cases.
